The companies that are being separately sued are – Action Farm (Mushandike Irrigation Scheme) in Masvingo, Buster Syndicate in Zvishavane and Banket Sheet Metal and Engineering (Pvt) Ltd.
NSSA is also seeking penalties for late payment at the lending rate of 10 percent per annum.
NSSA is arguing that the three companies were required to remit the contributions on time.
According to the court papers NSSA is claiming US$2 292 from Action Farm after it failed to pay pension contributions between November 2009 and January 2010.
It is also claiming US$576 as surcharges levied for late payment of the pension contributions and US$377 towards the Workers Compensation Insurance Fund plus US$187 levied for late payment.
The authority is also claiming US$292 as interest at the prevailing bank-lending rate of 10 percent per annum at the date of issue of summons to the date of full payment.
Buster Syndicate failed to remit contributions amounting to US$2 670 from April 2009 to February last year.
Despite a demand, NSSA submitted, the company failed to submit its workers’ pension contributions.
The authority is also demanding payment of US$1 382 in interest and late payment penalties.
Another company – Banket Sheet Metal and Engineering (Pvt) Ltd also faces a US$3 760,14 lawsuit including interests and late payment penalties.
The debt accumulated between February 2009 and March last year after the company failed to remit pension contributions.
The three cases will be heard separately at the High Court.
