BULAWAYO Provincial Netball league championship favourites Ntutu Sparrows are on a roller-coaster as they continued their march towards the title with impressive results on Saturday.Ntutu Sparrows thumped Sobukhazi Secondary School 51-19 and made light work of Lisa Mangena’s Free Stars who they beat 45-27 in their second match.
Buoyant Ntutu Sparrows seem unstoppable as they are yet to lose a league game this season. They played their first match away to Sobukhazi before they played host to Free Stars in the afternoon at Highlanders Clubhouse.
Ntutu Sparrows coach Precious Mudenge said there were on the right track for the championship.
“I’m positive we are in the right direction to win the title. Our advantage is that we have a youthful team,” said Mudenge.
She said it was encouraging to note that youths were now interested in netball unlike in the past. In the battle of Ntabazinduna, ZRP Ntabazinduna defeated Ntabazinduna Prison 20-18.
