He was addressing more than 10 representatives from different African countries attending a regional co-ordination meeting on strengthening effective compliance assurance for the transportion of radioactive material.
“The planned outcome of the project is two-fold — to reduce the weaknesses in the safe transport of radio-active material and the problems encountered in the international shipments of radioactive material,” said Mr Musukutwa.

Mr Musukutwa said it was an honour for Zimbabwe to host the International Atomic Energy Agency meeting.
“I hope that the humble logistical arrangements the Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe has put in place will suffice to enable you to focus on your deliberations,” he said.

“I also hope that during your stay you will be able to sample the peace, tranquility and truly African hospitality that our country has to offer.”
