Mr Poterai Gwezhira presided over the matter and granted the order in favour of Tima.

Tima told the court that Matsiya was refusing to vacate her premises.

“I stay with girls at my place and they now fear for their lives since he is a drunkard and a drug abuser. I am usually on night duty so he comes home drunk at night, gets violent and harasses everyone, including our neighbours. As if that is not enough, he has been breaking my property and selling my building material in my absence.

“I told him to leave, but he still comes back at night. I have had enough of him and I am afraid that he might sexually abuse my girls,” she said.

In response, Matsiya told the court that he could not leave because he had nowhere to go.

He disputed ever breaking Tima’s property or being violent.

Mr Gwezhira ordered him never to visit Tima’s place again and stop disturbing her peace.
