Nyadire High School Celebrates Exceptional Achievements

Nyadire High School has been hailed as a beacon of excellence in education, with its students and staff being recognized for their outstanding academic and sporting achievements.

The school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded learners, equipped with knowledge, creativity, resilience, and strong moral and spiritual values, has yielded impressive results.

The school’s dedication to advancing STEM education has opened new doors of opportunity for its students, preparing them to excel in an ever-changing world.

For Nyadire High School, which is a United Methodist Church school, the infrastructure development and vibrant sporting and cultural programs reflect its unwavering commitment to holistic education.

In a congratulatory message, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Moses Mhike said the school has emerged as a shining example of educational excellence in Zimbabwe, distinguished by its robust adoption of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.

“The school’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education that emphasizes critical thinking, innovation, and technological proficiency has yielded impressive results.

“The school’s Ordinary Level results were equally impressive, with notable pass rates of 98% in Biology, 92% in Chemistry, and 100% in Textile Technology and Design.

“The school’s strategic use of digital platforms, such as the Digital Library and Google Classroom, has enabled students to access a wealth of educational resources and engage in collaborative learning. The establishment of STEM-focused clubs, including the Coding and Robotics Clubs, has further cultivated innovation and technological proficiency among pupils.

“Nyadire High School’s commitment to excellence in STEAM education is also reflected in its participation in national initiatives, such as the Annual Science Sports and Arts Festival (ASSAF), Mathematics Olympiad, and the World Robot Olympiad. These initiatives provide students with opportunities to showcase their skills and compete with their peers from other schools.

In the 2024 examinations, Nyadire High School achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate at Advanced Level in STEM subjects, including Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Crop Science.

The school’s headmaster Webster Nyakudanga extended its warmest appreciation to its committed staff, learners, and supportive parents, whose diligence and determination have set a shining example for all. The school’s motto, derived from Isaiah 40:31, serves as a guiding principle, reminding students and staff to “Wait Upon the Lord” and renew their strength.

Alongside this, our continued infrastructure development and vibrant sporting and cultural programs reflect our unwavering commitment to holistic education.

“Through its efforts, Nyadire High School has not only demonstrated measurable academic success but also contributed meaningfully to the national vision of producing competent, ethical, and socially responsible graduates. The school’s emphasis on STEAM education has equipped students with the skills and knowledge necessary to transform Zimbabwe’s socio-economic landscape.

“As a model of educational excellence, Nyadire High School serves as an inspiration to other schools in Zimbabwe, demonstrating the potential for STEAM education to drive innovation and progress in the country,” he said.

The United Methodist Church Official Reverend Solomon Mawoyo who is the Education Secretary said with its commitment to providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for the challenges of the 21st century, Nyadire High School is poised to continue producing graduates who will make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

The District Superintendent for Mutoko Mudzi who is Reverend H. J. Zisengwe said the award is not the end of their journey but rather a stepping stone toward greater achievements.
