The South Africa-based runner went on to compete in the Nike We Run Jozi 10km race on Sunday and came first with a time of 35minutes 24 seconds to walk away with R17 000.
The race attracted 20 000 people.
Another Zimbabwean Elmore Sibanda also won the Oliver and Adelaide Tambo Liberation when he crossed the finish line in 1hour 4minutes 30seconds to clinch the men’s title.
Nyahora was impressed with her performance and attributed her success to hard work.
“I was training very hard knowing that I have to run two races in two days. Nothing is impossible if you work very hard. I feel so happy about my performance this year,” said Nyahora.
Nyahora said she has now put her focus on the upcoming Spar Ladies 10km road race as she prepares for the Soweto marathon to be held on November 4.
“I am running in the Spar Ladies as part of my preparations for the Soweto 10km race. I am always training hard so it has become easy for me to compete in several events without taking a break and I will do my best,” said Nyahora.
