TEENAGE golf sensation Margaret Nyamukondiwa continued with her fine form after she successfully defended her National Aids Council-sponsored Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Union Open Strokeplay at Chapman at the weekend.

Nyamukondiwa beat more than 10 other players who took to the field in the championship division.

The Chapman-based top amateur utilised home advantage to take the lead from the first day until the end.

Opening up with 84, Nyamukondiwa stretched her lead during the second day against some of the country’s top women’s golf players.

The win came barely a fortnight after she also won the Zambia Ladies Golf Open Strokeplay.

The NAC-sponsored ZLGU Strokeplay saw women golfers taking part in four divisions with the championship and A divisions playing 56 holes from last Friday to Sunday while the B and C divisions played in 36-holes.
