Nyaradzo acquires top of the range vehicles

Vitto vehicles makes the firm one of the funeral services groups with the largest fleet of hearses and business demonstrating its commitment to human dignity.
Nyaradzo chief executive Mr Philip Mataranyika said his firm made the investment on the realisation that the period between death and burial represented the most important time between the dead and the living.
“How you look at that moment is the last image family and friends will have of you when you are gone for good and it has to be just right. It is our mission to give decency to humanity in times of helplessness,” he said.
“If properly done, this moment can leave family and friends alike with images of peace, serenity and restfulness of their dear departed. The acquisition of these vehicles is in line with this commitment,” he added.
Nyaradzo Group has standard trucks, executive and high-rise double-cab hearses equipped with equipment for burial including lowering machines and tents. It also has a fleet of ambulances for transporting the deceased from place of death to its parlours. In addition, Nyaradzo also operates a fleet of luxurious and semi-luxurious Sahwira Mukuru coaches for the transportation of mourners.
The funeral service group said the investment of close to US$1 million is in pursuit of its desire to bring convenience to its clients and the vehicles will be distributed to the firm’s branches countrywide.
Continuous growth of the funeral services firm’s fleet comes after it embarked on an aggressive expansion drive, putting up modern and arguably the most beautiful funeral service centres across the country.
A Zimoco spokesman said the acquisition of a Mercedes-Benz vehicles in general represents a company that is particular about quality. As such, “this is testimony that Nyaradzo values quality in whatever they do”.
“It shows the seriousness of the people in charge and builds confidence in the funeral service market. This is a top of the range vehicle on the Vitto chain and it is for the first time that this vehicle has been taken as a hearse in Zimbabwe.
“The same vehicle is being used in developed countries like Germany, in particular, as a hearse,” he said.
