FORMER Zimbabwe league champions Chicken Inn have entered a five-year renewable bus sponsorship with a leading funeral assurance company the Nyaradzo Group.
The company unveiled a 65-seater bus to the Gamecocks at a function held at Chicken Inn Drive Through on Thursday in the city.
“It only shows that we are a good team that will continue to get more sponsorship. It’s a major sponsorship that will obviously get rid of transport challenges. We will not disappoint Nyaradzo as we seek to be one of the most professional clubs in the world,” said Chicken secretary-general Tawengwa Hara just after the club unveiled their 2019 season playing, warm-up and gym kits.
Before their sponsorship partnership with Nyaradzo the 2015 champions boasted of sound sponsorship from Simbisa Brands, Bonvie Medical Aid Scheme and Zibuko Capital.
“Bonvie Capital head of sales, Prosper Muvengwa said: “We are very much happy to be associated with the brand Chicken Inn Football Club and in that regard we are expecting a good performance from the team. We will continue to work on giving the players incentives for them to perform well.
Blackshark managing director Epmark Tome said they will always be Gamecocks’ all-weather friends.
“It’s an everlasting relationship. We are giving a helping hand to an ambitious club. We believe in the team and we wish them a successful 2019 season,” said Tome.
Chicken Inn have been busy on the local market breaking the bank to acquire players. They recently signed Dynamos’ attacking midfielder-cum winger Valentine Kadonzvo as well as Panashe Mutasa, son to ex-DeMbare coach and player Lloyd Mutasa.
Former Glamour Boys and Hwange defender Phakamani Dube now belongs to the Chicken Inn camp which also signed Sipho Ndlovu from Bulawayo City, Clive Augusto from Ngezi Platinum Stars, and Harare City’s Malvin Gaki.
A month ago Gamecocks continued on a rich vein of form in the transfer market with their latest new signings being the duo of former senior national team goalkeeper Donovan Bernard and midfielder Tichaona Chipunza who come in from Ngezi Platinum Stars.
They recently engaged in international friendly matches in Malawi that were organised by Nyasa Big Bullets.
