In the women’s category Zhoya and her Midlands province proved too strong as they bagged in four gold medals.
The teams were taking part in seven events and it was Midlands who dominated the women’s category.
Midlands were best in the team event, national Closed and the national Closed singles. Manicaland came strong in the national Open doubles were they won gold while Mashonaland West went away with silver.
Timothy Chibwe of Midlands was crowned the President Open singles champion while Moses Ndlovu of Bulawayo was runner up with his teammate Patrick Zimidzi coming third.
The men closed doubles were won by Bulawayo’s Jimmy Magwai and Tapera Makadho with Stasio Mpingidza and John Banda of Midlands coming second. The Zimbabwe National Darts Association president Meynard Moyo hailed the competitiveness of the teams that took part at the tournament.
