Deputy Minister Chimanikire said the convening of the Hazardous Chemicals conference in Harare was confirmation of Zimbabwe’s quest to comply with the world trends.
“This is a true reflection of commitment to social corporate responsibility and sustainable business practices, which is the conference’s theme of using hazardous chemicals sustainably in the mining sector. When the health, safety, and environmental issues are compromised in the medium to long term technical operations and profitability suffers too,” he said.
He commended the organiser of the conference, Curechem Group managing director Mr Anup Chand, for trying to make Zimbabwe compatible with world business trends.
