OK Zimbabwe Limited will open a new branch in Zvishavane soon as part of the company‘s national expansion strategy. The supermarket group’s chief executive officer Willard Zireva said plans to open the Zvishavane branch were at an advanced stage.
Zireva was speaking at the unveiling of an OK Zimbabwe Ltd sponsored seedling nursery at Mpandashango High in Mberengwa on Friday.

He said the mining town was one of the few big urban centres in the country that did not have an OK branch.

“We’re available in all big towns and cities in the country and the opening of our new branch in Zvishavane is necessary and important. We’re engaged in serious talks to open a new outlet in Zvishavane. Just to set the record straight, OK Zimbabwe Limited is 100 percent Zimbabwean. As such we strive to make sure that we have outlets in all corners of the country,” said Zireva.

He said opening a new outlet is a huge business decision which needs to be made cautiously.

Zireva said OK Zimbabwe Ltd is already engaging property owners in Zvishavane to help them establish their new branch.

“We expect to have opened our Zvishavane branch by early next year,” he said.

OK Zimbabwe Limited has been in existence since 1942 and owns 48 stores, two OK Marts and eight Bon Marche stores. The opening of the Zvishavane outlet will bring to 49 the number of OK stores nationwide.
