As summer sets in, outdoor joints will definitely be the major attractions on the local showbiz circuit. One such place is Old Kebab which had become a white elephant. In the past few weeks, a group of enterprising entertainers led by DJ T Fresh of Hennesy Entertainment has taken over and injected fresh mojo into the joint. The place is now a major centre of attraction, drawing hundreds of merry-makers during weekends.

T Fresh, affectionately known as Pilot DJ, has introduced a new concept dubbed Chesa Nyama Sundays where he combines with award winning wheel spinner DJ L Roy and MC Stansplash.

The combination has gelled well and recruited new loyalists to the joint.

DJ T Fresh told Herald Entertainment that the joint has lined up an exciting mix of activities for summer.

“We sat down and came up with different concepts to satisfy our fans this summer. As you know that we reignited Old Kebab and we have plans to keep on improving,” he said.

He also revealed that they are in the process of securing the signature of an international artiste to perform at Old Kebab although could not divulge the name.

“The place has come alive again. At this juncture we cannot reveal the names we are courting but something big is brewing up,” he said.

Old Kebab has been lying dormant after the previous owner Eddie Zviitwa abandoned it and opened a new joint called Kebab Premier.

However it has now become the new hot spot in town and this summer is likely to boost its revellers.

Last weekend the joint was packed and security had to be beefed up to avoid violence.
