WESTERN Panthers will lock horns with Old Miltonians (OMs) in a Matabeleland Rugby Board Zimbo Under-20 Rugby Cup semi-final tie at Hartsfield today. Rugby enthusiasts in the city will be treated to three hours of entertaining rugby before the final match set for January 24.
Panthers go into today’s game in high spirits after their 15-10 win over Busters with Old Miltonians also on a move to gain lost pride after their 7-22 loss to Busters last weekend.
Old Miltonians coach Diddy Paradzai said his side will go all out for a win.
“This time we’ll be concentrating on our game plan and working on the attack which let us down in the last game. Our play in the front was not up to scratch. I’m hoping the boys play as a unit this time,” said Paradzai.
Panthers coach Busani Ncube said his side will be seeking nothing short of victory to get to the final of the tournament.
“As a team we believe that everyone can run with the ball, but the problem is in defending. I hope the boys will put up an excellent performance and play an offensive and more running type of game in our quest to get to the final next week,” Ncube said.
Meanwhile, Bulldogs will be facing Busters in their race to get into the final stage of the tournament. Bulldogs have not won a single match in the tournament and will be at their best to keep Busters from progressing to the final.
Fixtures
