Aid Kit” at a high profile concert at the gigantic Celebration Centre on Saturday evening, Pastor Dube “baptised” Thembalami as his representative in Zimbabwe.
“I have been talking to this young man (Thembalami) telling him that I believe there is something God is expecting us to work together,” said Pastor Benjamin.
“He will be travelling a lot to South Africa to work with me. When I saw his video on YouTube I was blown away.
“Those who have been struggling with my music here you won’t struggle anymore because he will bring every CD I have done. I am gonna take his music to South Africa and distribute it there.”
The “Bow Down” hitmaker said he had come to Thembalami’s album launch not as an artiste but to endorse what God was doing in his life.
He also spoke prophetically over Thembalami that there was going to be a turn-around in his life if he remained humble.
Pastor Benjamin said he was releasing the anointing that made him an internationally-recognised artiste to Thembalami to make him a giant in the gospel industry.
He urged pastors and Christians in general to support gospel artistes.
Pastor Benjamin said he sacrificed to attend Thembalami’s album launch on the eve of his trip to the United States because of the passion that the former Extra Large member has.
Some of the hit songs on the album that is inspired by faith include Handidzokere Shure, Bayethe, Awesome God, Masoja-a duet he did with Mudiwa and Mhanya.
Zimbabwean gospel artistes who dished out scintillating live performances include Mudiwa, Sebastian Magacha, Pastor G, Prophecy and Jabula group of the New Life Covenant Church.
Mudiwa gave a top-drawer performance with his popular song “Ndaita Mari” as he engaged his fans by going to the crowd which was blown away by his “bragging” moves while his rap antics left them wooed.
Not to be outdone though was Sebastian with his signature song “Ridza Bosvo” proving to be popular with the fans.
He then called Thembalami to join him on the stage as they sang “Ridza Bosvo” together with Mudiwa.
Pastor G as usual got fans on their feet as they dished out some of their hit songs “Shake it Off and Mabiribobi.”
