The source suggests that the couple’s last break-up in May 2013 was so bad and rough on Rihanna that it finally made her realise that she can’t have a lasting relationship with Chris.
“He taught her what not to look for in a guy,” the source adds. “And for that she’s thankful.”
What Rihanna wants most is to just be left out of all the romantic chaos: “She’s just glad it ain’t her and that she doesn’t have to put up with the drama.”
What a turnaround for Rihanna. She and Chris were always on-off, and she was always giving him second chances no matter how bad he messed up (and he messed up pretty bad). Apparently she finally had enough. Which, no matter how sad, is probably a good thing for the both of them. They failed to make it work so many times — finally one of them took the hint.
Arrested
Chris and Karrueche may not even be 100 percent over. “Karrueche thinks it’s one big misunderstanding and loves him and she’s sure that they’ll be back on good terms once all this drama boils over,” another source said.
Meanwhile, Chris was arrested for felony assault on Sunday morning after he allegedly assaulted a man outside the W Hotel in Washington, DC, at around 4.30am.
The 24-year-old star has been charged with felony assault and is still in custody at a local police station, and his alleged victim is still in hospital undergoing treatment.
