On song Ndoro scores a brace

ORLANDO Pirates coach Eric Tinkler says he is still ambitious to finish as high as possible on the Absa Premiership log this season. This comes after the Buccaneers once again recorded yet another emphatic win of the season beating Golden Arrows 4-1 at Moses Mabhida stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Pirates’ Zimbabwean striker Tendai Ndoro was on song again, scoring a brace, and Luvuyo Memela and Issa Sarr were also on the score sheet. Bucs are now sitting on position six with 38 points after 25 games played so far.

Tinkler says: “We want to finish as high as possible. Finishing in the top three is not in our hands. It’s in the hands of others.”

Meanwhile, the former Bafana Bafana midfielder was also pleased to see his team winning more games this year following their disastrous start to the season.

Tinkler acknowledged that the Bucs did not start well against Golden Arrows.

“We’re back on the winning path which is very important but you know it’s not so easy to get better at the end of the game. I felt we were a little bit lethargic in the first half, a little bit casual,” says Tinkler. – SABC
