The incestuous relationship has resulted in a five-month pregnancy that got neighbours worried until the 16-year-old girl revealed that her 20-year-old brother was responsible for it.
a�?She stopped going to school which got me worried. I then asked her what the problem was because I treat her like my own daughter. At first she told me that she had no school fees money so I offered to pay for her. She then confessed that she was pregnant saying that is the reason she had stopped going to school,a�? said a neighbour.
For a fairly small community Mashoko Village under chief Nembudziya in Gokwe such an issue becomes of public interest.
As such, the neighbour asked to know who of the local boys had deterred the young girl from pursuing her studies.
To her utmost shock, she discovered that it was the girla��s own blood brother.
a�?She later confessed that her brother got her pregnant. She also revealed that they had been having an incestuous relationship for the past two years,a�? added the source.
The matter was then taken to Chief NembudziyaA� who is yet to preside over it.
a�?Therea��s such a case before me. I am yet to deal with it,a�? said Chief Nembudziya.
