Our readers want Zifa to fire Nees

Sports Reporter

THE message from our readers to ZIFA is clear: FIRE NEES!

Earlier this week, we ran a poll on the H-Metro platforms in which we asked our readers to vote on whether ZIFA should either keep or fire Nees?

This followed back-to-back defeats in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.

The Warriors failed to score in both games and, with just two matches left in the World Cup qualifying campaign, they are bottom of the table without a win.

Nees has only won two games since he was appointed head coach of the Warriors and both victories came against the same opponents Namibia.

In our WhatsApp poll, a staggering 85,1 percent of the respondents voted for ZIFA to fire Nees.

Only 14,9 percent of the respondents voted for ZIFA to keep the German coach.

In our Facebook poll, a staggering 73 percent of the respondents voted for ZIFA to fire Nees.

Only 27 percent of the respondents voted for ZIFA to keep Nees.

In our X poll, 76 percent of the respondents voted for ZIFA to fire Nees.

Only 24 percent of the respondents voted for ZIFA to keep the German coach.

On Instagram, 57 percent of the respondents voted for ZIFA to fire Nees.

Only 43 percent of the respondents voted for ZIFA to keep Nees.
