Out Cal_Vin, enter Asaph

While a shadow of his former self, he also admits that he has been overtaken by younger upcoming artistes with hunger for success.

“It’s true, I used to be on top but as you know everything has its time and my time passed and I did what I could do now it is someone else’s time to shine,” he said.

It won’t be a surprise if his upcoming album fails to live up to expectations even for his die-hard fans. He even knows it!

“I am a father now so a lot is happening in my life. I am not focusing much on music at the moment but I have an album coming along in October,” he said.

While he is busy with daddy duties, the new man in town is Asaph who scooped the hip-hop gong at the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards in June. Here and there, Asaph and Cal_Vin have hinted that they don’t really like each other.

However, Cal_Vin said he paved the way for Asaph and has nothing against him.

“I have no problem with Asaph, I do not have any ‘beef’ with him. I paved way for him into the industry,” he added.
