The legislator said this in the House of Assembly yesterday while making a contribution to a motion moved to pay tribute to Guruve South MP, Cde Edward Chindori-Chininga (Zanu-PF) who died in a road accident last week.
Mr Gwiyo is one of sitting legislators who failed to secure candidature for the MDC-T in the Zengeza West House of Assembly seat.
In his contribution, Mr Gwiyo said the MDC-T had failed to guard against the same vices it was accusing Zanu-PF of committing. “This is evidence on how they have handled primary elections. What is the future of Mafa (Magwegwe MP Felix Magalela) who was initially told that he had won primary elections only to have the decision reversed?” he said.
Mr Gwiyo accused Mr Chamisa who is also ICT minister of lying to legislators that he would give them laptops.
“Chamisa promised laptops to all of us including Chindori-Chininga who has now died. The only person he has managed to give a laptop in his five years as Minister was Chinotimba (War Veterans Association vice president.)
Mr Gwiyo said he was disappointed by what his party had been doing for the past five years.
“I am also getting worried that my own president, the Prime Minister of this country is receiving wrong advice. It is not in the interest of our struggle for change,” said Mr Gwiyo.
Mr Munengami hit back at Mr Gwiyo while he was winding up his motion for adoption.
“I think this is not the platform to settle political scores. I am sure that we have platforms in our political parties to advance our grievances,” he said.
The MDC-T has been dogged by intra-party violence during its party’s primary elections.
