MANNY Pacquiao has been called Mr Nice Guy on many occasions and the boxing superstar certainly lived up to his reputation as he handed out school supplies and food to the children of Sarangani, Philippines.Pacquiao has been enjoying some time away from the boxing ring after his defeat to Floyd Mayweather last month.
The Philippines-born boxer returned home to lend a hand and give out supplies to local children in Sarangani.
Pacquiao wrote on Instagram: “Distribution of school supplies and food to the children of Sarangani! Lord, thank you for your blessings. Thank you for letting us help those around us. ‘Emmanuel and Jinkee’s Heart Foundation.’ @jinkeepacquiao”.
The 36-year-old will spend up to a year on the sidelines as he prepares to undergo surgery on his torn rotator cuff, an injury he suffered in training ahead of his fight with the Money Man.
Following his loss, the boxer revealed he almost pulled out of the fight after he sustained the injury three weeks before the “Fight of the Century”.
He was accused of dishonesty after failing to disclose his shoulder injury in pre-fight medical questionnaire.
Mayweather preserved his unbeaten record as a professional with a unanimous decision victory over Pacquiao in their welterweight mega-fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 2. – Dailymail.
