It hurts so deeply to say goodbye
When you share the last moment
And remember when you first said hi
You welcome the darkness that engulfs
Life becomes void, you start to die slowly
Your heart dies and gradually turns to coal
Yet under the blunt misery, you still want some more.
The importance of something is only realised when it vanishes
You picture the moment she first smiled
Your memories are filled with blemishes
It hurts so deeply to say goodbye
When she’s out of the picture
Your heart experiences a fracture
What’s left is the indelible and vile reminiscence
A stroll down memory lane
Steams of tears gush down
Indeed, you go insane
Depression creeps in, in your tears you start to drown
It hurts so deeply to say goodbye.
