Pair on the run over $3,600 fraud

POLICE are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of two people – Priscillar and Isaac Chakanyuka – who are wanted in connection with a case of fraud.
Acting Bulawayo police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Abednico Ncube said the two suspects defrauded the complainant of $3,600.
“The two suspects approached the complainant who is into the timber business at 6 Hussan Road in Bulawayo’s Kumalo suburb. The suspects told the complainant that they have a business and wanted him to work with them,” said Asst Insp Ncube.

“They then ordered a truck of timber for the complainant worth $5,700. The timber was supposed to be loaded in Mutare where the suspects purported to have a company and told the complainant to pay a deposit of $3,600 before a delivery could be made.”

Soon after the complainant paid the deposit, the two disappeared and their whereabouts are not known. Their last known address is 4249 Stortfort Road, Tynwald, Harare.
