WOZA Weekend! Check your time . . . it’s time to relax, unwind and just have a good time. The good news is that you no longer have to go through the hustle of going from club to club looking for your favourite artiste, dance group or DJ. We have done the dirty work for you and lined up various entertainment schedules below for your convenience.
Club Forty 40
Tonight, StarFM’s Legendary Sound will invade Bulawayo with a show that is set to rock dancehall lovers. DJs Smylie, Merciless and Mad Vancho will be on the decks backed by Centre Party and powered by local DJs Mzoe, Fritz, Humble Kid, Ash T and Phibz. Tomorrow, DJs Mzoe and Fritz will host the Fashion Killa Party where prizes will be won for the best dressed patrons of the night. The venue will close the weekend on a chilled note with Jazz nights for the mature.
Horizon Pub and Grill
Tonight corporates will converge at the Bankers Night out hosted by 3D event with DJs Keezy and Black Cee entertaining them. The event is for the mature crowd that wants to interact socially and talk business. Tomorrow, the venue will host a “We the Party” with DJ Joe the OG on the decks. Free cocktails will be given to the first 20 ladies at the club.
Walkers Pub and Grill
Located at the Bulawayo Centre, the pub will tonight present “Fabulous Fridays with Black Troop Entertainment”. DJs Lacusto, Q Base and Cally D will be on the ones and twos playing a mixture of house, dancehall, hip hop and R’n’B. Tomorrow will be dedicated to house music lovers as only house music will be played when DJs Truce and Magetsi host “The Movement”. Sunday will be a laid back day with a “Chillas” event to wind down the weekend.
Mojo & Lounge (B.A.C)
The joint will tonight present the “Feel Good Friday” event with All star DJs on the turntables exchanging notes. The “Saturday Experience” will be hosted by DJs Dash and Marcus Andro tomorrow. Afro Nite will round off activities at the bar on Sunday.
Metropolis Pub and Grill
The pub tonight hosts Gals La Musica for their “Friday Ladies Nite” event. A complimentary free punch will be on offer for ladies tonight. Mthwakazi dance group and DJ Fishtoz will take over tomorrow with the Saturday dance party.
Archers Club
The club will continue with quality entertainment with award-winning dance group Iyasa performing there tonight. Simunye Simunye will take over tomorrow.
Mqombothi Sports Bar
The joint which is located in Nkulumane will tonight present Afro Queens. Tomorrow, Loxtion Queens dance group will be doing what they know best. On Sunday the joint will as usual, host Magesh Tornadoes powered by DJs JJ Waribusa, Peace and Thong.
Whatever Sports Bar
Located in the high density suburb of Lobengula, the bar will tonight host a “Freaky Friday” event with DJ Mavesto, Houzen and Mzu. People will be treated to new and old school house and kwaito music in a chilled atmosphere. Tomorrow, Ziyawa Queens will entertain revellers. “Sweet Sundays” will be launched at the club by DJ Mavesto on Sunday where he will be playing jazz music.
Bakosi Sports Bar (Filabusi)/KoMoffart Sports Bar (Shangani)
Chase Skuza and Clement Magwaza tonight hold a joint show at the bar. The duo will travel to Shangani tomorrow where they will make a date with fans at KoMoffart Bar.
Midlands Hotel (Gweru)
Tsviriyo hitmaker Jah Prayzah will tonight dazzle his fans in Gweru with a performance at the Midlands hotel. The artiste will be ably supported by his group, The Third Generation, Harare-based diva, Jean Masters and the Masters Band.
Uptown Club (Gweru)
Urban grooves artiste, Leonard Mapfumo will tonight launch his album at the club. DJ White will be on the ones and twos.
