Two people were last week arrested in Nyanga while attempting to sell land mines in the area.

Although The Sunday Mail could not get further details last night, Police national spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrests and said two people had been apprehended in the eastern district of Zimbabwe in connection with an attempt to sell land mines.

Chief Supt Nyathi said, “They were arrested and appeared in court in Rusape (yesterday). I am waiting to get more details, but I understand they have been remanded in custody to next week.”
