Palestine’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Dr Tamer Almassri has hailed the Southern African Development Community (SADC) for raising the Palestinian cause at the just-ended SADC Summit.
This follows a visit by the executive secretary of SADC and Dr Elias Magosi to Palestine House in Harare following the conclusion of the Summit.

Ambassador Almassri said he was grateful to SADC for the continuous support of the Palestinian cause.

“I had the honour of receiving the honourable executive secretary of the South African Development Community (SADC) and a friend Dr Elias Magosi at Palestine House following the conclusion of the Summit of the Heads of States,” he said.

“He was accompanied by the security and defence officer of the SADC, the organisational body officer, and a number of other assistants. Other delegates include a host of accredited ambassadors of the friendly Republic of Zimbabwe.

“I thank him on behalf of the State of Palestine for raising the Palestinian cause and the continuation of the Israeli heinous genocide against our isolated Palestinian people in the Basel Gaza Strip, on the agenda of the meeting of the leaders of the sixteen member states.”
