MEMBERS of the internationally renowned marimba music outfit, Pamuzinda, are preparing to return home in style.

The group has been touring Europe for a number of months now.

They have done collaborations with Stadtkapelle Germering e.V and The School Of Narrative Dance.

The music outfit left audiences captivated with their unique blend of traditional African sounds and contemporary musical influences.

The group spokesperson, Vengai Katogodo, said their tour has been a huge success.

“This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, as the group has not only performed at festivals and venues but has also embarked on thrilling collaborations with orchestral band STADTKAPELLE GERMERING e.V and The School Of Narrative Dance,” he said.

“This tour was not merely about presenting their music to European audiences.

“The group decided to take it a step further, breaking barriers and fostering a cultural exchange by collaborating with local orchestras and other genres.

“This fusion of African melodies, with classical orchestration, proved to be a match made in musical heaven, creating a breathtakingly harmonious experience for all who attended.

“The band’s dedication to showcasing the beauty of their own culture, while embracing and celebrating others, has struck a chord with audiences and critics alike.

“Our performances have been hailed as a testament to the unifying power of music, transcending language and borders to connect people from all walks of life.”

Katogodo added:

“It has been a remarkable journey of cultural exchange, collaboration and celebration, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to be part of it.

“The tour might be ending but the impact of their music and the memories of their extraordinary collaborations will resonate in the hearts of audiences worldwide, inspiring a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of global cultures that make our world so beautifully diversify.”

Hailing from the heart of Harare, the group’s music is deeply rooted in their cultural heritage, a rich tapestry of rhythms, melodies and storytelling that echoes through generations.

With drums pounding, marimba knocking and voices harmonising, they have effortlessly transported audiences on a musical journey to Zimbabwe and Africa.
