They were knocked out in the semi-finals by eventual winners Mabvuku FC in a penalty shootout after goalless draw in regulation time.

Speaking after the game, Pan Jap representative former Dynamos goalkeepers’ coach, Zondai Nyaungwa, said they are still the team to beat in social football despite bowing out in the semi-finals.

“Our team is the ideal boozers’ team. It is composed of old “madalas” unlike other teams we faced which have youngsters.

“We came here and faced Mabvuku FC, who ply their trade in Division 2 and we ran toe to toe with them. We eventually lost the match on penalties, but it was there for everyone to see how good our team is.

“Basically, we are happy with the tournament. We are going to be part of it going forward as it brings different people together.

“It also escalates our social football to greater heights knowing the games were covered live on DStv Channel 294.

“The platform was a big social platform for different corporations to associate and market their products,” he said.
