PANTHERS Academy will celebrate its 19th anniversary by hosting the Panthers Academy Taekwondo Championships in Bulawayo on September 26-27, with the venue yet to be confirmed.
Academy director Vusumuzi Ncube said preparations for the tournament are progressing well and expressed confidence that it will be a memorable event.
“Preparations are going on well and we are looking forward to hosting a successful championship that will not only showcase taekwondo talent but also create business opportunities for young entrepreneurs,” said Ncube.
Ncube said business stalls will be available for youths to advertise and sell their products during the two-day competition.
The championships are being staged to celebrate the academy’s 19th anniversary while promoting the growth of taekwondo and empowering young people through sport and entrepreneurship.
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art renowned for its dynamic punching and kicking techniques, particularly head-height kicks, jumping spinning kicks and fast kicking combinations.
