Para-rowing athletes leave for Italy

A FIVE-MEMBERR team left the country yesterday for a para-rowing training camp which will be followed by the Paralympic Qualification Regatta in Gavirate, Italy, as Zimbabwe takes part in the discipline for the first time.

The training camp is set to run from today until April 20 while qualification is slated for April 21 to 23. The team is made up of Takudzwa Gwariro, Previous Wiri, Margaret Bangajena, Chipo Zhento and Jessica Davis (coxswain). They were invited by fisa, the world’s governing board for rowing.
