TWO Zimbabwe national team players, Everisto Pasipamire and Naville Chivhangaya, could be on their way from Harare City Hornets after attracting interests from Hamburg-based Bundesliga 2 side Natural Basketball Academy in Germany.

The pair could join the European team as soon as next month as they have already impressed coach Nathaniel Levine after starring for Zimbabwe’s AfroBasketball Zone V1 representatives during the course of the year.

At 22, Pasipamire who stands at 2.5m and is arguably the best centre in the country at the moment, has attracted a lot of interest from several clubs, including those from Mozambique, but he believes his career will be better advanced in Germany.

Chivhanganya (29) also has height on his side as he stands at a towering 2.4m. If the move materialises, as is highly likely, Hornets – who have had a fairytale season – will definitely be shaken but coach Langton Moyo says he will not stand in the path of the players.

“I am aware that a lot of clubs in the region and overseas have enquired about the availability of some key players in my squad.
