THE Zimbabwe International Book Fair is one of the country’s most prestigious events, bringing together academics, writers, publishers, printers, marketers, librarians and the reading public. The week-long event also brings together people from all corners of the globe.
However, after the socio-economic challenges of the past decade, the Book Fair is on the rebound.
The 2011 Book Fair started on July 25 and will end tomorrow. Book launches have always been some of the highlights of the Fair. And today, Global Distribution Network on behalf of LoveWorld Publishing Ministry is launching a book by Pastor Anita Oyakhilome – Don’t Pack Your Bags Yet!
The six-chapter paper book edition with the familiar LoveWorld Publishing Ministry cover design (colours) includes chapters like: Why me?; Crown beyond crisis; Relationships; Where is your esteem?; Show me a hopeless case; and, A fresh move.
Pastor Anita challenges those who are about to give up on their vision or dream, not to pack their bags yet; and says that they can turn their darkest hours of your life into moments of triumph.
“The bags you carry could contain the desires, visions and dreams you were about to give up. The word of God says, ‘So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward and thy expectations shall not be cut off'”. (Proverbs 24:14, KJV)
Pastor Anita encourages believers not to throw away their desires: “God uses your strong desires to bring your dreams to pass. Write down your visions as God directed in Habakkuk 2:2. He says, ” . . . write down the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
She says that one can give up on physical things but never on praying, studying and doing the Word of God. “You must remind God of His promises because not one word of all His promises has ever failed.
He is a faithful Father. The word says: “For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall my word that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please . . . ” (Isaiah 55:10-11)
It is a well written and easy to read book on encouragement, full of practical applications
Pastor Anita is an anointed minister of the Word of God, and is wife to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President of Believers’ LoveWorld.
She is author of various publications including the best-selling daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities.
