THEY say if you don’t like something, change it and if you can’t change it change your attitude.
These are the best words to describe Pastor Brian Dube who changed his life for the better from being a drunkard to a celebrated writer and pastor.
Sunday Life had a chat with Pastor Dube, who unpacked how he received God and started penning books.
“I was a drunkard. I never thought I would quit alcohol but thank God who does the impossible, the incident which marked my turning point was in 2008 when my hard earned valuables were stolen. After all the toiling and struggling, I was back to zero and this incident was eye opening in my life,” he said.
He said he is a teacher of the Word of God and he has eight books in his name.
“I am a teacher of God’s Word by the grace of the Lord. I have written eight books, last year I wrote four and this year I have also written four,” he said.
Brian added that he writes books to enlighten people about the word of God.
“The objective of writing is to provide enlightenment. I have noted with great shock that people deviate from the standard God set which is the Word and come up with man- made concepts which have no backing from the Bible,” said Pastor Dube.
His works are inspired by the fact that he has a role to play in society.
“I get my inspiration from the fact that I know that I have a contribution in society and the nation at large as I strive to study, search, examine the scriptures in a bid to properly interpret the word of God. I feel I have much to share with others in as far as teaching is concerned,” he explained.
He added that his books touch on different issues like marriage, dependency and fake pastors.
“The book called The Good Way talks of marriage in the light of God’s Word. Marriage is God’s gift to man for their enjoyment. The devil has adversely affected marriages: the rate at which marriages are breaking is very high.
There is also book entitled Open your Eyes and Look and talks of the urgency for the spread of the gospel. There is no reason to wait because the devil and his evil forces are at work and they need more agents,” explained the pastor.
