DYNAMOS coach Callisto Pasuwa has admitted that there is always pressure at the club.
“There is always pressure at Dynamos. I am a happy that we have improved in terms of defending as a team and we will be working hard on the strikers who are lacking the technique to score goals upfront.
“I had been offered big money at Harare City but I chose to stay at Dynamos,” said Pasuwa soon after the 0-0 draw with Shabanie Mine at Maglas Stadium on Sunday.
Pasuwa has been under pressure from the Dynamos executive which was divided over his future but board chairman Bernard Marriot stood his ground and that saw Pasuwa remaining the Glamour Boys coach.
Harare City wanted the most successful coach and had dangled a carrot believed to be around $6,000 a month but Pasuwa, who has played for Dynamos, chose not to leave his childhood team.
Pasuwa has won three league titles and nine other trophies in three years. There was a boardroom coup that at one point wanted to elevate David “Yogi” Mandigora who had earlier resigned from the vice chairman’s post as some elements in the team wanted him to take over before he was re-assigned to the juniors.
Pasuwa added that he is used to the pressure as he is a former player.
He is assisted by goalkeepers’ coach Tichaona Diya and Philemon Mutyakureva.
There had also been calls to rope in Biggie Zuze who later moved to Triangle and now fans are calling for the inclusion of Masimba Dinyero in the set up.
