TWO patrons were fatally stabbed by a fellow guzzler during a beer drinking spree at a nightclub in Budiriro at the weekend.
Cogitate Ganyiwa is now facing charges of stabbing and killing his fellow patrons in the brawl at Royal Night Club in Budiriro on Saturday.
Ganyiwa had been drinking in the company of his girlfriend in the night club before all hell broke loose, leading to the tragedy.
Trouble started when he was involved in an altercation with Tadiwa Murerwa (20) who is said to have broken Ganyiwa’s beer bottle before pulling his girlfriend’s plaited hair.
During the fight, Ganyiwa pulled a knife and stabbed Murerwa once in the chest.
Aleck Ruvere intervened, to try and help his friend Murerwa, and was also stabbed once in the chest.
The two friends sustained deep stab wounds in the chest and succumbed to the injuries inflicted.
Murerwa died on arrival at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital, while Ruvere was found dead about one hundred metres from the crime scene.
