SONGBIRD Pauline Gundidza has collaborated with new-school sensation, Chipo Muchegwa, in a song titled Rudo Rwekare.

The song Rudo Rwekare is a project by Povo Africa Trust.

Chipo and Pauline have been working on the project in which they have been mentoring female artists with disabilities.

The track was produced by Good Kid at Afrotonic Sound, a studio in Highfield, which is directed by Manzul Fazilahmed.

Chipo states that their relationship is way more than just mentorship.

“We have worked together before and travelled a lot and performed together.

“I feel excited taking this new journey with Pauline she’s a really nice person,” she said.

Chipo says the song is a reminder of how sweet Rudo Rwekare was and that no one got played back in the days, unlike in the modern love affairs.

“In this modern life people no longer care about people’s feelings, all that is happening is impregnating each other of which it is wrong,” she said.

Fuzzy said the track tells the woes of shallow love relationships of modern times (mjolo) in comparison to the good old romance of the past.

“It was simply an amazing recording session.  We are honoured to have worked with these two amazing artists on this song and we look forward to more projects with other artists of their calibre.

“We produced it at Afrotonic Sound, a studio.”

The other teams were made up of Raven Duchess mentoring Jacqueline Mpofu and Vuyo Brown mentoring Sithandazile Gumbo.

Pauline and Chipo shared a mentorship relationship for two months before releasing the song, which was shot at Pakare Paye in Chipo’s hometown of Norton, and in Highfield, where Pauline stays.
