Pearl Thusi’s daughter Thando joins youngins

Actress Pearl Thusi’s daughter, Thando Mokoena, is making her own mark in the entertainment industry. The 18-year-old has officially joined the cast of Showmax’s hit teen drama Youngins, and the news has fans buzzing on social media.

The streaming platform confirmed on Friday, 12 September 2025, that Thando will appear in the third and final season of the show alongside popular YouTuber Ghost Hlubi. Showmax shared the announcement on Instagram with a playful caption:

“New bombshells have entered Olifantsfontein High. Drama’s brewing, alliances are shifting but wait. There are some interesting additions! And they’re coming in hot. #YounginsShowmaxS3.”

The highly anticipated final season of Youngins will begin streaming on 19 September 2025. Fans can expect three new episodes each week until the season wraps.

This season will not only see Thando and Ghost Hlubi shaking things up at Olifantsfontein High but also introduce several fresh faces.

New cast members include Katlego Moloke as Alex and Amogelang Telekelo as Palesa, who are best friends in the storyline. Toka Matabane joins as Khaya, a confident and popular student, while Tabile Tau plays Sefako. Lebogang rounds out the newcomers as Tumelo.

Behind the scenes, actress and casting director Keneilwe Matidze has also taken on a double role. She is working her magic in casting while stepping in front of the camera as Pearl, the lively Life Orientation teacher.

Thando’s big break comes just days after she celebrated her milestone 18th birthday. Pearl Thusi proudly shared moments from the celebration, even revealing that she doubled up as the DJ for her daughter’s party. “Thando’s 18th birthday had me DJing for free smfh,” she joked on her Instagram story before adding, “Wish my baby a happy 18th birthday.”

With Youngins Season 3 promising drama, fresh twists, and exciting characters, fans are eager to see how Thando Mokoena will shine in her debut role − OK.
