CYCLING sweethearts Thando Tshuma and Vusumuzi Mnkandla are swapping pedals for selfies today as they host a meet-and-greet at Park 27 Joy Ride in Gaborone, Botswana.
The Zimbabwean couple, on a gruelling ride from Bulawayo to Nigeria, were given a warm welcome yesterday by the Botswana Tourism Organization and a convoy of local cyclists at Fairgrounds.
“We, the Zimbabweans based in Botswana, decided to meet up and support the duo. Our event team has 11 members — seven men and four women,” said Donald Muchaira, one of the organisers.
He added that all expenses were covered from their own pockets, with every cent raised at today’s event going straight to fuel the pair’s epic African adventure.
