Peeping Tom teacher nabbed

A male teacher in the habit of peeping into bathrooms while female counterparts bath was arrested last week.

Nigel Mamire (29) a teacher at Kana Primary School in Lupane, Matabeleland North ran out of luck when he was caught peeping through a bathroom window at around 7am while a female teacher was stark naked bathing.

The female teacher noticed him and screamed for help as pupils were already jostling around while watching him peeping through the window.

She then reported him to the headmaster who filed a police report leading to his arrest.

Lupane resident magistrate Ndumo Masuku heard that on a date not known to the prosecutor but sometime in July, Marime was caught peeping through a window of a bathroom while a female teacher was taking a bath.

After spotting him, she screamed and hurled insults at him and he fled but later apologised.

However, he repeated his antics when another female teacher who had turned down his love proposal was bathing and he was caught again.

The school authorities filed a police report leading to his arrest.

He pleaded guilty to a criminal insult charge as defined in section 95(1)(B)of Criminal Law and Codification Act 9:23.

a�?I apologise your worship. I couldna��t stand the sexual urge I have towards her and I believe that led me to peep through the window,a�? he said sending the court into laughter.

For his offence Mamire was slapped with four months in prison with an option of a $200 fine to be paid not later than 30 September.
