Peterhouse’s UK tour successful

Peterhouse thrashed Oundle 47-17 in their first match of the tour before registering another victory with a 24-21 win against Uppingham in a tough encounter.
Oakham School were the third to be beaten when they suffered a 8-27 defeat at the hands of Peterhouse in the third match.
Matonga said he was happy with the tour where they won three out of the five matches they played.
“We were very happy to win, it was a good and successful tour and we really enjoyed our matches.
“It was unfortunate that we lost 31-15 in the fourth game against Sherborne before losing 38-25 in our last match.
“The teams we played were not weak teams, some of them are among the top teams and one of them had 13 players that played for England Under-17 and 18 sides.
“We are happy and our coaches are happy with our performance, as we were also a disciplined team during the tour,” said Matonga.
Peterhouse flyhalf Brandon Mandivenga was named man-of-the-match in the third and fourth matches.
