A PHARMACIST was arrested at an upmarket Harare restaurant after he was caught in possession of dangerous drugs.
Monalisa Shamiso Mwadzira appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi yesterday.
The court heard that on Saturday, at around 830pm, detectives from the CID Drugs and Narcotics received information that Mwadzira was in possession of dangerous drugs at Organikks Restaurant in Chisipite.
Later that night, acting on the tip-off, the detectives went to the restaurant where they carried out surveillance and observed Mwadzira holding a white handbag.
She was seated alone.
The police officers approached her, identified themselves and informed her the purpose of their visit.
They opened the white handbag she was holding and recovered two small blue pills suspected to be ecstasy tablets and two transparent plastic sachets of loose dagga.
Police claim she was taking cocaine when they arrested her.
