PHOTOS: Buy Zimbabwe Retailers and Suppliers Conference

Deliberations at the Buy Zimbabwe Retailers and Suppliers Conference showed Zimbabweans imported over US$400 million worth of groceries amid calls by local industry for retailers to support local production. As a result, manufacturers will lobby for 60 percent shelf space for local products.

Although there is no clear policy on how much shelf space should be given to local products, retailers pledged support for locally manufactured goods only if they meet international quality standards.
