ASPINDALE Pick n Pay supermarket on Tuesday lost US$50 000 to robbers.
The supermarket bosses noted that the robbers gained entry through the roof and cut off roofing sheets.
They opened the door to the CCTV monitoring room where they disconnected the monitors.
They opened the door to the safe room and used grinders to cut two locks and stole the cash.
A security firm, manning the place, heard a security alert alarm.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case.
“Police are investigating an armed robbery case that took place at a supermarket in Aspindale,” said Insp Chakanza.
