Arts Correspondent
Tatenda Pinjisi has joined the train of big guns that make it to One Big Party that takes place monthly at Padziva in Dzivaresekwa.

Located along Kirkman Road after Sanganai Inn, Padziva has become a popular outdoor venue in the area and has hosted many artists.

Pinjisi will take his new album “Chibhakera Chenyasha” to the place as he continues with his outreach after the release of the new project. He performs at Padziva tomorrow.

The new album is doing well and he will have a chance to sample it to followers from Dzivaresekwa and surrounding places.

The place has attracted people from leafy suburbs that want to reconnect with their roots in the ghettos around Dzivaresekwa.

Pinjisi said he is happy with the reception of his album and he has prepared well for the show.

“I am happy that ‘Chibhakera Chenyasya’ is doing well. We will play new and old songs at One Big Party. It will be a big party indeed. We wish to do our best to entertain people at the place. One Big Party is not known for sungura and we are among the few from the genre to be invited to the event,” said Pinjisi.

“We will represent the genre well and show people that sungura still makes a mark. Many people love the genre and I am inviting everyone for the event.”

Padziva director Benjy Nyandoro said they have put everything in place for the show.

“One Big Party will continue to grow. We have completed our renovations and the place is now perfect. We want merrymakers to come and have fun,” said Nyandoro.
