Plumtree to experience Slizer

Botswana- based songstress Slizer and local artistes.
The gig at Kombani Lodge is meant to be a Christmas present for residents of the border town.
The main act, Slizer, would be backed by rhumba outfit Ndolwane Super Sounds, which commands a huge following in the town. Jazz muso Jeys Marabini, globe trotting Iyasa and DJ Diliza from the Kalawa Jazmee stable in South Africa will be among the top entertainers.
In an interview the organiser of the gig, Faith Dube said the gig was a Christmas gift for their patrons and Plumtree residents.
“We are hosting the gig to thank our local clients and the entire community for supporting us throughout the year,” said Dube.
He assured fans that it would be indeed an exciting and memorable show as the star-studded line up will definitely not disappoint.
Meanwhile, South African, premier kwaito and house music DJ Oskido is expected to date Bulawayo fans on Christmas Day.
The Luveve Five-born star will perform at Horizon pub and restaurant in a show dubbed Oskido’s Home Coming Party.
Oskido born Oscar Mdlongwa has sent many into frenzy with the track Banane Mavoko which features hip-hop outfit Black Motion.
He kick- started his career back in the day and is ranked one of South Africa’s top ten DJs.
In 1999 he formed record label, Kalawa Jazzmee Records in collaboration with musician cum producer, Don Laka and DJ Christos Katsaitis.
As part of music group, Brothers of Peace (BOP), he has produced numerous hits for different artistes, including Boom Shaka, Bongo Maffin and many others. Oskido’s music has recently been picked up and remixed internationally by Masters at Work.
As part of BOP he is responsible for club anthems like Zabalaza and as a producer he has remixed SA pop classics like Mahlatini and the Mahotella Queens’ Melodi.
