PLUMTREE Town Council is today commissioning a number of service delivery equipment items at the border town.

The ceremony will be presided over by the Deputy Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Albert Mavhunga, who is already in the town.

The equipment includes two tipper trucks, one five-tonne truck, five motorbikes, one water bowser, one fire tender, two single-cab trucks, one commuter omnibus, one truck load board, one iron roller and one grader.

The development is expected to improve service delivery in the fast-growing border town.

Part of the equipment was bought using devolution funds allocated to the council.

The development comes following another commissioning of equipment at Matobo Rural District Council last Friday, aimed at driving service delivery.
