BULAWAYO-based hip hop artiste Pride “PMDee” Mhandu has released a new track titled Izinja ZeGame.
The song is a collaboration between PMDee, Thamsanqa “Fresh T” Sibanda, Mickey “Mystik” Dumani and DJ Nhlambazonke who all belong to a local hip hop fraternity by the name KLAP.
In an interview, PMDee said the song is the first of the many singles that are going to be released in the coming months.
“Izinja ZeGame is part of my forthcoming album titled Mixed Emotions and for now is available online, where I am marketing my music. It will also feature on KLAP Singles Compilation CD Volume Two, which we are busy working on,” he said.
Mhandu’s music video Make em Klap has been receiving airtime on Boss TV and he is now in the middle of shooting a video for his latest single.
“KLAP is a family of about 20 local hip hop artistes and we are helping each other to grow as we promote the genre in Bulawayo. There is need to revive this kind of music because it has a bigger following,” he said.
PMDee rose to prominence on the local hip hop circles after the release of his track Legendary early this year. He featured Miles “Freddy B” Maseko of Kasi Lunatics and Marcus “G Roq” Khumalo, on the song.
He also has released tracks such as Check It Out and Never Say Never.
“It is disappointing that local hip hop music is not getting much air play locally,” he said.
