THE Premier Netball League returns with a pre-season tournament set for the Chitungwiza Aquatic complex on Saturday.
PNL chairperson, Sarudzai Chapo, said the pre-season tourney will serve as a dress rehearsal for the league championship race.
The PNL are bracing for an exciting season after partnering with a local television station for matches to be broadcast live.
“There will be 19 teams, and Andy Muridzo will provide entertainment for fans.
“The season is to start on the 11th of March, but no one has affiliated yet.
“The tournament is a platform for all teams to evaluate their readiness for the new season, and we are expecting all teams to participate.
“The ladies have already started training, and there has also been a lot of player movement. It will definitely be an exciting season.”
She added:
“I’m sure there will be exciting competition this season, as we are also expecting more partnerships this season.
“We are also expecting fans to come and enjoy themselves and watch the teams playing.”
Last year Platinum Queens won the title after beating the competition of runners-up, Green Fuel, and third-placed army side, ZDF Queens.
