UZ Legends FC have said they want to build their football brand this year.
The social football team have already beaten Tom Diesel FC 2-0 twice before losing the third game 1-3.
They also played a memorial match against Dartos FC.
UZ Legends secretary-general, Malvern Madziwa, said the memorial match showed the power social football has in unifying people.
“It was in memory of the late Stavo Ndalama, who played for Dartos, a team of Harare doctors.
“We raised funds through T-shirt sales and the money went to his family.
“This unifies us beyond the social aspects of the game and improves networks and solidarity in both good and bad times.”
Madziwa said they were doing a lot of work to grow their brand.
“We also held our inaugural awards early this year to cap a great season last year.
“We intend to do more charity work and fundraise for UZ FC.
“We intend to donate a kit and accessories to them.
“We also want to bridge the gap between former UZ and current UZ students for networking purposes, as former students are already in the corporate world.
“All this is through the efforts of our chairman, George Sheta.
“We are possibly the best dressed team in the social league.”
